Europe is at peace, but it is an uneasy peace.  Diplomacy is failing, and military leaders across the continent are gaining influence.  Conflict is expected by many within the year, as the major European powers jostle for dominance.  Behind the scenes, the strings are being pulled by:
Emperor fenix of Austria-Hungary
Prime Minister steph96 of England
President metagaia of France
Chancellor paz of the German Empire
aknight, Chief of General Staff of the Italian army
Czar dead of Russia
jimmy, Sultan of the Ottoman Empire

The military situation looks like this:

Please submit your orders by midday Wednesday 25th January 2012.

I'm expecting something like this:
Army North Africa - Tunis
Fleet Ionian Sea supports Army North Africa - Tunis
or
A naf - tun
F ion S a naf - tun

Imagine I am a general in charge of the unit - if the order is clear and unambiguous, it will be accepted.

You shouldn't need to worry about retreats in this first turn, but in general they should be given with the move orders, conditional on the situation if desired.

Finally, remember supply centers only change ownership at the end of Autumn turns.

I should also point out, as the map doesn't make it clear:

1. You can only move to named areas
2. No-one can go to Switzerland, as it is too neutral

It's just neutral enough by my reckoning.

The Swiss will bow when France controls all of Europe!

Will there be a board at the club on Monday to discuss and show tactics?

I'll bring one if I come, but that's uncertain at the moment.

I'm expecting to come tonight, and I'll bring a board.

If someone gets a chance, can they set up a table in the "corridor" area where we store the society's tables, assuming that isn't in the way.  It seems like a good central area for it.
