One thing we didn't have time for last night was to talk about things that the group never uncovered:

- There was a secret area (featuring a trapped barghest and the first major hints of Thassilonian 'stuff' and Karzoug) hidden under Thistletop.

- Karzoug could essentially see/hear through the Sihedron medallions/rings.

- The hole in the wall of the Pinnacle of Avarice was made by Mokmurian, as part of his quest for more arcane knowledge (due to being an outcast runt stone giant with no sorcerous ability). He is the one that triggered Karzoug's return from suspended animation. This event also activated the other runewells, such as the one under Sandpoint that you encountered near the start of the campaign.

- The Denizens of Leng were ostensibly supporting Karzoug's return, and setting up a portal to ancient Xin-Shalast to help bring forces through. However, they actually had their own separate agenda, and had Karzoug defeated the party and activated his final return, the Leng Device would have triggered the awakening of Mhar, an incredibly powerful elder being from Leng. This would have been even worse for Varisia than having a runelord appear...
There were some Leng Spiders (enemies of the Denizens) who would have tried to persuade you to stop whatever the Denizens were up to, but your stealthy approach to the Pinnacle avoided them.

I'll add more things as I think of them; happy to discuss in more detail in person.
